Behavioural Interview

What is Behavioural Interview ?

Behavioural Interview refers to the practice of gauging a candidate’s performance based on his behavioural competencies.

Such interviews place higher importance on the behaviour of the employees; sometimes, even higher than their academic achievements. The interviewer would be more interested in knowing how the candidate has responded to specific workplace situations. Similarly, the candidate might be asked how they would respond in case of specific situations based on the offered role.

Such interviews might also have different kinds of role-playing to understand how the employee might react in case of specific situations that he or she might encounter as part of their daily routine.
