What is Orientation?

 

‘Orientation’ refers to the task of letting the newly employed personnel help understand their daily tasks and responsibilities, company culture and relevant policies in order to help them ease into their role.

 

If the number of employees hired are more, the special orientation programmes are conducted in order to help them up to speed on the company policies and culture as well as assist in understanding their daily responsibilities.

 

Orientation is significant as it has the following benefits:

 

  • Provides the new employees with accurate information to ease them into their new position.
  • Helps in increasing the confidence of the new employee.
  • Helps make the workforce more productive and engaged.
