Strikebreaker

What is Strikebreaker?

‘Strikebreaker’ might refer to two different things. It is used to refer to the employees who continue to work while the others are on strike against the company. On the other hand, it might also be used to refer to the actions of the company that are taken to counteract the employees who are on strike.

Strikebreakers are also called scabs and they are generally considered as traitors and aligning with the organization during the duration of the strike by the other employees.

Companies might employ several tactics for strikebreaking, such as subduing the strikes with force, trying to convince the strikers with the Mohawk Valley formula, or trying to reason with them.
